I offer here a brief update on the Church of God in Aylmer which has been made 'famous' by Henry Hildebrandt. Because of their recent stand for freedom and for the right of churches to gather, Henry and his congregation have become well known and even admired. They are now actively involved alongside other evangelical pastors with the Liberty Coalition Canada and are seeking to become a more significant presence in Ontario.
Many look to them as noble freedom fighters. Many others have begun attending their church. And sadly some othwerise sound pastors are making common cause with them because they have defied the government's interference with the churches. This is a mistake. A little research reveals that they are not a Christian church. They are in fact a wicked cult.
I wrote previously, "If we were freedom fighters we might count it an honour to join ranks with a man like Henry." Having done more research, I have since concluded that I was being far too generous. No thinking freedom fighter and certainly no believing freedom fighter would look to Satan for aid even in the cause of liberty. Make no mistake. The so called apostles of the Church of God Restoration are not well meaning men who happen to be a bit mixed up theologically. We read of wolves in Scripture, but here is something far worse. Here we are dealing with the demonic. This is a movement that surely comes straight out of the pit of hell and should be shunned and avoided even as we would shun and avoid Belial.

I learned today that I will be charged again for gathering the congregation for worship. It sounds like there will only be one charge, which means that the total will now sit at a maximum 300,000 and 3 years in prison. The good news is that there...[ abbreviated | read entire ]

We don't know what we will face in the days ahead. We don't know what authorities will do. Though we know He is on the throne, we don't know God's plans. But as we face an uncertain future we do know what we must do. It isn't our business to guess...[ abbreviated | read entire ]
As many of you know the lockdown here in Ontario has intensified. We have been issued stay at home orders and strongly warned against non-compliance. But today is God's day. So what are we to do? Actually, there isn't much to deliberate. No need...[ abbreviated | read entire ]
It should go without saying, but I would like to assure you that during the upcoming provincial lockdown we will continue to gather as before. We will not allow the worship of our King to be altered by the regulations or traditions of men. We will...[ abbreviated | read entire ]
