Pillars of Discernment Thanks for the informative and sound preaching to such a subject as you have addressed.
in 1992 I returned to a church in the early stages of becoming a seeker friendly church. I as yet was not saved, but 6 months into I was touched by the hand of my Lord Jesus from the preacher there at that time. After a change of pastors within 5 years I joined the staff and remained on staff for 13 years.
I left the church because after years of blind following the teachings, I was sensing a need to check out thru the Word what was being taught, along with the seeker friendly motive.
To this day I am always saddened when I hear truth and yet it strongly appears even more so the man centered ways a year after this sermon continue to move further away from God's truth.
In write this in appreciation for your dedication to the truth of the Word of God. Keep up the good work.
Great and Needful Sermon! What a wonderful truth to know that the potter allows the slaughter of his sheep so that they will be like Christ; not opening his mouth.
Sad that Christians are willing to express their “faith” on jobs and when they are persecuted for doing so, they hire Jay Sekulow, and even the ACLU to defend them. Although I don’t agree with evangelizing on a job when it is not in the job description. Eight hours pay for nine hours work is in the contract.
We are saved to serve. There is often a dear price for our service in righteous. The Beatitudes say that we will receive a great reward.
Thank you pastor for speaking the truth.
