Great Sermon! What a powerful message. So many won't preach this message of limited opportunity. Thank you for showing scripture out of scripture about it.
Great Sermon! Thank you for your truthful sermon. Few preach on the history of modesty, fewer Christians desire to hear it. Thank you for being obedient to the Lord and lovingly preaching truth.
Evidence ... The pastor is exactly right in that there are clear and consistent evidences (fruit) in the life of a truly converted individual. The way we think, speak and act indicates if we are striving for godliness or simply playing a game of self-deception. What is troublesome, however, is that this pastor consistently preaches messages dealing with assurance of salvation. It seems that there are many "members" of this local church that struggle with this concept despite the fact they have been attending for many years, if not decades. Perhaps they are truly saved as I don't see any evidence in scripture of unsaved people faithfully attending to the preaching of God's Word for years; quite the opposite as light drives away the darkness. We must be careful not to "persuade" immature Christian that they are most probably not saved; perhaps what they need is some serious discipling and not a weekly flogging.
Great Sermon! Enjoyed this, as stated, we believers are to be busy doing the things of God, and should be so busy for evangelism that they don't have time to do a lot of worldly activities.
Stimulates thought... As God is not the "author of confusion," there are times that Christians may leave a local church to remove themselves from an environment that is clearly not "ordered of God." In such a church, there is another spirit at work and Christians are right to "come out from among them."
Question "The flesh can only act spiritual for a certain time ... It can't take it." My question is: why then do unsaved people continue to "fellowship" at a Bible preaching church for many years and all the time saying they enjoy the preaching and teaching? Is it possible that they are actually saved people? It doesn't seem that unregenerate flesh would continue in voluntary "submission" to Bible preaching for years. Seems confusing and not reflective of what we see in the Bible.
Important message ... Important point, men, that we must fight for our families. The preaching has much gratuitous sarcasm, but the underlying message is sound: what's needed is godly men that will lead their families in the path of righteousness.
Sermon raises good question ... The sermon raises a good question: why isn't the Lord adding daily to the church those that would be saved? Clearly He wants to. Sadly in many churches today those that are saved are those that have been attending the church for years and have made a profession of faith in the past; not the model we see in the Bible. So, what's wrong? Clearly there is a problem that needs to be addressed. Just curious for feedback as this is a very serious issue.
Great Sermon! Pastor Graf I just wanted to encourage you in telling how much I've enjoyed this sermon! What a blessing it has been for me.
By the way I loved your bookstore it is the most completed bookstore I've ever seen. Thank God for you brother and keep exalting Him!
Strong presentation Strongly delivered message. The pastor obviously thinks there is a holiness problem and issue with assurance of salvation in this church.
