“ Great wisdom of God. ” Blessed work of the Holy Spirit, orchestrating this turning point in the history of the Church, leading with wisdom and patience Peter.
“ Christ still working. ” Jesus Christ is Lord and He is still working here through Peter. The Book of Acts continues to record the mighty acts of our Lord.
“ Who is great? ” This message puts things in true perspective: not Gedeon was great, but God was great. Not his faith was great, but faith was put in a great God. We are small, and our God is great. The Holy Spirit can do great things through us.
“ Great comfort. ” This was really God's message for me, speaking exactly to my present need. It was not a sermon, it was like God sitting near me and talking about my situation and my need!
“ Great lessons. ” David as the annointed of God prefigures the Messiah to come. Saul fights against the Lord's annointed and has the spirit of Antichrist. God's enemy hates God's people. Also a message about the sovereignty of God and human respondability.
“ Thought provoking ” Where does the regulative principle come into this. As reformed people must tie down what is allowed and forbid re worship. Kind regards
“ Great Sermon! ” Thank and praise God for this message. I have learnt much from this clear and godly exposition of this chapter and especially of the relationships between Jonathan and David. Best of all, Rev. Goligher applies this to our love and loyalty to King Jesus.

“ Light of glory. ” I liked very much this idea: Paul didn't believe that Stephen saw the heavens open, and now the heavens are open for him and the light of the heavenly glory shines upon him. And that He who accepts Christ accepts also His church, His brothers.
“ Holy living. ” The grace of God chenges us in new creatures and makes us to live holy lives, which confront the ungodly lives of non-Christians. But we are not doing good deeds to obtain salvation, but because God saved us.
“ Wonderfully Helpful Sermon! ” Pastor Carol, I have heard many a message about husbands loving their wives and yours stands so different in its encouragement of what it means to be a man and how the Lord Jesus Christ has set us the example to follow as we might joyfully throw ourselves into submission to the will of God and the joy of intimate fellowship with Him. I thank God for your message.
“ Silence of God. ” Blessed warning. I do not want to experience this silence of God because of my sin. God help me to live in submission. I want my passion to be, as Paul said, to know Him.
“ Power and love. ” As I looked into the next year with all its uncertainties, I was affraid. This message was a great response for my fear: God is powerful and loving and I must trust in Him, because He will care for me. Thank you for this message!
