The Twelve Marks Of A Saint

“ Incorrectly Titled Sermon ”
At the beginning of the sermon the Pastor states that the name of the sermon is "IF THE FOUNDATIONS BE DESTROYED" & passage of scripture named was PSALM 11:3. I'm glad that I listened to this sermon because the pastor goes in depth into the false foundations of religion today as compared to those specific foundations in scripture. I didn't know any of this. He spoke about the 6 foundations of the gospel & listed them: 1 - Repentance from dead works 2 - Faith toward God 3 - Doctrine of Baptism 4 - Doctrine of laying on of hands 5 - Resurrection of the dead 6 - Eternal Judgment Very interesting sermon. I learned quite a few things. Scripture references: Hebrews 1:3,6:1-6/1 Corinthians 1:30,3:10-11,15:12/Isaiah 9:6,28:16/Colossians 1:16,18,2:9/John 1:4,14:9/Ephesians 1:4,4:32/2 Timothy 2:17-19/Romans 10:11/Leviticus 16:20

Marriage

“ What Is Marriage? ”
First off, let me say that there are portions of this sermon where the pastor wanders away from the microphone & you can't really hear what he is saying. The pastor says he doesn't feel qualified to speak on this subject & well he should say that because no one is qualified. The best he can do is try to impart to us what scripture not only says, but truly means. He does state that Paul speaks on the following subjects in scripture: -Marriage -Marital Responsibility -Sex -Divorce -Separation -Reconciliation -Being Single For those of us interested in what Paul the Apostle has to say regarding the subject. The pastor does show a parallel (I think) to Christ & His church where marriage is concerned & the treatment of each other in marriage. He mentions that staying single is a gift & marriage as well is a gift, if looked at in their proper perspectives. I would have liked a little more insight into certain aspects of marriage personally, but he did an acceptable job, considering that preachers don't preach this today. Scripture references: 1 Corinthians 7:1-9,26-27,32-33 & chapter 15/Hebrews 11,13:4/Genesis 2:18,21-23/Matthew 19:3-4/1 Peter 3:7/Ephesians 5:22

Worldliness

“ Who Do You Really Love? ”
I listened to this sermon twice & it resonated with me on the deepest of levels. At the end of the day - who do we love? God or the world? Look around you, at what you have, what you work for, where your heart is & ask yourself "Who do I really love?" The pastor talks about the "Trinity of Evil". It's the first time that I have ever heard of it termed that way. Lust of the Flesh - Pleasure Lust of the Eyes - Popularity Pride of Life - Power He also speaks about & explains the age old term "touch not, taste not, handle not". As well as what it is the world advertizes. This sermon actually made me feel good. I know for sure that I am not of this world in any way, shape or form. I hate the world & I can't wait to leave to go be with my Lord & Master Jesus Christ. To me, this place is nothing more than a sewage hole and I want nothing from it. NOTHING. Bold preaching at it's very best. Scripture references: 1 Timothy 6:10/Genesis 2:15,3:1/John 7:7, ,12:42-43,15:8-9,17:9,16/1 John 4:1-3, 5:19/Matthew 1:21, 16:26/Romans 12:2/ Luke 16:3/James 1:27/Galatians 6:14

Worry, Stress & Anxiety

“ Worry Not ”
In the last 2 days I have listened to this sermon several more times. And yes, the pastor is still at the beach. The pastor begins by asking us who we are. Mary or Martha? And the answer is obvious without being stated. Then he asks who is it that we want to be. It is from this point that the sermon takes off and rolls full steam ahead to the critical & unavoidable conclusion. The basis of the sermon is about exactly what the title says. The pastor draws a comparison between LITTLE FAITH & GREAT FAITH & how the two differ. He also goes onto show how we are perpetually disrespecting God in the sense that we consistently worry & are confused in the idea that we have ANY power at all. This is another MIRROR sermon. Can you bear to look at yourself? Scripture references: Luke 10:38-43, 12:24-27/Matthew 7:9-11/Romans 8:28, 32/1 Thessalonians 5:14/Philippians 4:6-7/1 Peter 5:5

A Dead Man Raised

“ Truth Revealed ”
God revealing truth is a beautiful & wonderful thing. Such is the case with this message. Over the last 4 days or so I have listened to this sermon 3 times. Why? Because I wanted to make sure that what I was taking away from it was in fact what God was showing me. And it was. When Jesus speaks to the dead boy, it is how He speaks to His people to bring them to life. 'Weep not' to the mother - there is no cause to weep, but instead rejoice. Our Lord didn't go around healing and resurrecting everyone. He chose those who were in fact His. The blind, the lepers, the possessed & the dead. That's the elect until we hear His voice call out "Rise, come forth". I love you Lord JESUS. It's not the messenger that should be thanked, but God who works through the messenger as a bullhorn to call His own. Scripture references: Luke 7:2-10/Romans 4:25, 8:32, 10:13/Ephesians 2:1/John 5:25/1 Thessalonians 1:4, 2:13/1 Corinthians 15:50-51

“ Bad Sound Quality - Duplicate Sermon ”
This particular sermon has very bad sound quality. However, there is an identical sermon listed at 36 mins. The sound quality of the 36 min sermon is much, much cleaner and much easier and more enjoyable to listen to.

The Trials of Life

“ Count It All Joy ”
It's amazing how the Lord works. I wasn't sure what I would listen to today of the Pastor's sermons & was just scrolling through the list when this jumped out at me. I know when that happens, there will be some rare jewel there that will be given me. The windows of heaven literally opened up & blessings more than I could receive fell upon me. The pastor hits the ground running with this sermon. One of the things that he points out is the meaning of the word TEMPTATION. It has 2 meanings. 1- to sin & 2 - trials & troubles. I think the most important point throughout is that God loves His people & when bestowing trials & troubles on them it is for the very reason that He loves us so much. That is hard for the elect to understand, but understand they must. This sermon is rich & overflowing with blessings from the Lord. Every elect should listen to this sermon, not once, not twice, but at least once a week. We need this balm of the Lord in this world. Scripture references: James 1:13/1 Thessalonians 5:14/Hebrews 11:1, 12:5/1 Peter 1:6/1 Timothy 1:15/Luke 8:4-15/Psalm 31:9

Judas Iscariot

“ Introspective ”
If you want to look into the mirror, this sermon is exactly what is needed to do just that. It has helped me. There are many things here that could be mentioned, but the pastor points out at one point that the Doctrine of Total Depravity is nothing compared to who we are as sinners for we are depraved. Even the saved, if God were to remove His hand from us we would become just like Judas. Just as Judas was, we are CRITICAL, COVETOUS, INSINCERE and full of FALSE REPENTANCE. If we look at ourselves in all honesty, we see these very qualities and they are ugly. That is the point here. Who is Judas? How are we like him? Who was he as a disciple? Very important questions to be answered honestly by each one of us. This sermon deserves to be listened to on a regular basis. Scripture references: John 6:70, 12:3, 13:2-20/Psalm 41:9/Luke 22:21, 23:20/Acts 4:27/Mark 16:17/Matthew 26:9,20/1 Corinthians 4:7/Exodus 11

“ Helpful ”
First off - the scripture reference for the sermon is backwards. It's not verse 21-18. Overall this is a very useful sermon in that it goes a long way into explaining election & the Pastor uses one of the best (if not the very best) examples in scripture to do it. One that many preachers won't (can't) preach on. I asked my husband to listen to this sermon; because until recently he didn't understand election. But he considered himself well read on scripture (still trying to figure that one out). He sat down yesterday (Sunday) morning & listened. It made a clear difference with him & gave him much food for thought. And he has a general dislike for preachers. This sermon is & was a blessing. If you want a clear understanding of what election is, listen to this sermon & you will know exactly where you stand with God. The question is - do you really want to know? Scripture references: 1 Peter 5:13/Isaiah 42/Ephesians 1:4-6/John 6:37 & 15:16/Romans 9:11-20

Sermon:
Angels

“ Interesting ”
There are alot of books & information regarding Angels out there. I have always considered those to be confusing & avoided them. I know some of what scripture says about Angels. But if I want to understand them, I will turn to scripture. Which I have done here. The pastor approached this from a logical standpoint. One of the most important things he addresses is the difference between "THE angel of the Lord" and "AN angel of the Lord" with "THE angel" being Christ in the OT. He also speaks about Gabriel & the meaning of his name (a mighty warrior of God) and Michael & the meaning of his name (like unto God) and who & what they were. Arch Angels. Angels in general were explained to be servants of God & ministering spirits to the heirs of God. He also speaks about Angels visiting us as messengers of God, which I have encountered myself personally on two occasions. This sermon is definitely worth a listen. Scripture references: Hebrews 1:4-14, 12:22, 13:2/Revelation 22:8/2 Peter 2:11/2 Samuel 24/Genesis 1:1-2, 18:1, 19:1/Isaiah 13:12/Job 4:18/1 Timothy 3:16, 5:21/Matthew 1:1,18,21 & 18:10, 26:41, 28:1/Luke 1:26, 2:8, 15:10, 22:39/Acts 1:10/Colossians 1:16/1 Thessalonians 1:7-10/2 Kings 6:15

“ Learning of Christ ”
I thought this subject audacious to say the least and that inspired me to listen (God led me). This was my take away from the sermon. The pastor asks 4 questions (which he proceeds to answer): 1 - Who is Jesus Christ? 2 - What did He actually do? 3 - Where is He now? 4 - What must I do to be saved? These 4 questions lay the foundation of the sermon. Worthy questions to be asked & answered. Later the pastor makes 3 statements regarding what a creator can do. 1 - Create something from nothing. 2 - Make something to be what it was not. 3 - Make something not, that was. Towards the end of the sermon, the pastor points out very clearly that Jesus Christ is the express image of God & explains why and how. At the end - I felt I knew Christ better and in knowing Him better, I draw closer to Him and closer is where I want to be. This sermon made me feel good; whereas at the beginning of the sermon I felt very downhearted and depressed. Scripture references: Acts 14:15/Matthew 17:1/Colossians 1:14-15, 2:9/Genesis 1:1/Ephesians 1:6/Daniel 4:35/Isaiah 45:7/1 Samuel 2:6-7

“ Outstanding Sermon ”
The story of pride and foolish self confidence. This is a subject that is near and dear to my heart because I see myself so much like Peter. The Pastor speaks about Peter's denial, his pride, his over confident attitude, his salvation and his calling. I know all too well what the Pastor is speaking on and the Lord was speaking to me through this message. The Pastor points out regarding the risen Lord saying "go tell the disciples & Peter", that Peter was so crushed as his denial of the Lord that it was critical that the Lord specifically mention Peter to let him know that he was in fact loved regardless of his denial(s). I had never thought about that before. It made sense. Things are much clearer for me now. A portion of scripture that I thought I had understood before, became even clearer now. Why can't other preachers do this? What is so hard about preaching the word? Scripture references are: Matthew 26:31/Proverbs 16:18/Luke 22:31,54/Ephesians 1:6, 4:32/John 21:15

“ The Audio Is Too Low ”
Here's another sermon where the audio is so low that you have to turn your system volume WAY UP to hear it. Tell the pastor to start using a headset, that way when he wanders around we can still hear what he is saying. The shame here is that it's a useful sermon. There is something to be gotten from it. I chose to listen to this sermon twice because there was so much there. But there were points where I couldn't hear clearly what he was saying. Very frustrating. I have always referred to what the pastor is speaking about here as "Looking at the monster in the mirror". Who we really are when we stop kidding ourselves. We're ugly and disgusting. Vile & loathesome creatures. The pastor reiterates that. Scripture references are Luke 5:8/Psalm 34:18, 51:16-17, 118:22-23/Isaiah 6:5, 8:14, 64:6/ Daniel 3:1, 10:8/Philippians 3:9

“ Powerful Sermon ”
Here is another sermon that I had to listen to several times back to back in order to get the full scope of what was being put across. Not so much what was said as what was explained. The thorn in the flesh is the basis of the sermon, wherein Paul seeks relief and God tells him MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR THEE. I disagree with the Pastor in that I have always felt, based on being human myself and knowing what type of person I am and Saul was, that PRIDE was the problem that Paul had difficulty overcoming and Satan used it liberally against him. That's my opinion though. I know Pride is my core problem. Other than that, it was a very introspective sermon and gave me much food for thought as to who I am as a person and is God's grace sufficient for me? I tend to conclude it is abundant. Scripture references are Ephesians 3:1/Romans 5:6, 9:11/2 Samuel 24:1/1 Chronicles 21:1

“ Enlightening ”
The basis of the sermon is the Beatitudes and what each one means. I had never thought about them before to be quite honest. I could recite them - maybe, but other than that I never thought about them - until today. I listened to this sermon 3 times this morning. I thought I understood what 'meekness' meant - until today. Now I know EXACTLY what it means. That was the most enlightening part of the sermon for me. That was what I was supposed to understand I think. God continues to use Pastor Nibert as a teaching instrument for me to draw closer to Him and for that I am so very thankful. Thank you Lord Jesus for this most precious blessing. Scripture references were Isaiah 40:1/ Matthew 10:34-39/1 Samuel 3:17-18

“ It Left Me With Questions ”
The basis of the sermon was spot on. However, there was a portion where the Pastor talked about Baptism. I fully agree with what he states regarding Baptism, however there are those of us out here who can't seem to find a church/pastor that is willing to do what John the Baptist or Philip did. They all want to trade or do deals. You join us and we'll think about baptizing you. Something along those lines. I had a pastor tell me recently that when I had the whole memorized he would baptize me. The Ethiopian Eunuch doesn't have an option anymore, not in this day and time. The Pastor needs to remember there are those of us out here who can't just get baptized. We are being blocked by the very entity that should be doing the baptism willing. Thank God I have taken this to Him in prayer and He will see to my baptism in His time & on His terms. Other than that, the sermon was good.

“ Scripture Becomes More Real To Me ”
We hear about Mary, but we never really give it all that much thought, or at least that is what I have always encountered & understood. In this sermon, that all changed. For the very first time, I met the Marys. I know who & what they are for the first time. This is exciting for me. As a woman, I now feel more close to the Lord. I see how those 3 Marys were used, what they meant, who they were & now I look at myself & my relationship with Christ so much more differently. I don't know why God chose Pastor Nibert to impart this information to me, but He did & for that I am so very thankful. I love the Lord Jesus Christ so much and not only want to be with Him, but to be as close as I can to Him. These sermons serve to make that desire possible. I am so happy & I feel so loved. Especially after hearing this sermon. Thank you Lord Jesus, thank you.

The Paradox
Todd Nibert

“ Outstanding Sermon ”
I have often considered what Paul describes in Romans 7 as being a Paradox. Pastor Nibert uses Psalms 119 as the springboard for delving into this Paradox. I had to listen to this sermon twice, back to back. In order to understand the struggle we face between the spirit and the flesh, I believe Pastor Nibert lays it out quite well and I came away with a much clearer understanding and perspective of what we have to deal with as elect. Pastor Nibert makes the statement that he can't wait to die to be with the Lord and I wholeheartedly agree. Most people shrink in absolute horror from that statement. They can't make the connection and that speaks volumes of where they are spiritually. This world is nothing compared to being with Christ. Nothing. It's a dung heap and I can't wait to leave. Thank GOD for His MERCY and election!!! Scripture references are Galatians 4:17/Genesis 1:26/Romans 5:20, 6:14, 7:14-15/Hosea 4:17.

Lovest Thou Me

“ Interesting Sermon ”
This is one of my favorite passages of scripture. I can identify with Peter on a very deep level and his lessons affect me a great deal so I wanted to hear Pastor Nibert's take on this passage. The topic of the sermon is Christ asking Peter DIRECTLY 3 times "Lovest Thou Me?" after Peter's triple denial. The basis of the sermon is 'loving'. Pastor Nibert surprised me in that he wasn't sure if this asking 3 times had anything to do with the 3 denials. I was stunned by that. Peter HAD TO BE FORGIVEN for his denials. Peter was essentially forgiven on that beach at that moment. His denials had to be made right and in front of the other disciples at that. I couldn't believe that Pastor Nibert doesn't see that. I still enjoyed the sermon though because for the most part what he said is correct. Some scripture references are 1 John 3:18, 4:17, 5:1/1 Corinthians 2:9/2 Corinthians 8:8/John 14:15, 21, 23/Psalm 122:6, 145:20/Matthew 24:12/Luke 7:36

“ Half A Sermon ”
This is only a portion of the sermon. I am assuming the first 18 mins. If there is one thing that really disappoints me, it's the fact that a partial sermon is posted up. Where is the whole sermon? I would really have liked to hear this one all the way through. It's a shame when this happens to a good sermon.
