Important Sermon! "Democracy is not working" is absolutely true and Americans should pay attention to this message too. The UK is a pattern of what is coming to America next, and where the legal persecution of Christians (for speech, press, religious freedom) has already begun. Democracy has replaced Christian theological principles with "Secular Theocracy".
It is a universal agenda being waged, and imposed upon all, that is described in Psalm 2, to "break His bands asunder and cast His chords away"--i.e. God's laws from being applied to men's consciences, that is a tyranny to not only society, but individual Christian liberty.
Can a finite cause have an infinite effect? An objection to Christianity is that a finite cause (committing a sin) can't have an infinite effect (eternal punishment). The second point of this sermon sheds a lot of light on what the Bible says about what is required from a sinner who sins against an infinite God, and how only the infinite Son could pay the full penalty for sinning against a perfectly holy God.
A classic One of the best. This will be a perennial download. Lots of insights into the true nature of what eternity in heaven will be like. Anyone with questions or uncertainties on this topic ought to listen.
Excellent Sermon! An excellent, wonderful, helpful, important and encouraging sermon.
Thank you very much Reverend Murray and may the Lord God bless you always
A must hear!
Outstanding series Series combines deep theology with clear explanation, helping illuminate the doctrine of justification. Highly recommended for people who want an understanding of the crucial doctrine of justification, which is central to the Bible's theme of redemption, and what it means to the life of a Christian. This series is exactly the sort of preaching that is hard to find any longer, and which is desperately needed.
Don't Miss This Message One of Pastor Murray's best sermons on sermonaudio, sure to be a perennial download. An encouraging, insightful exposition of what the Bible says about the Spirit and the flesh. Definitely worth a listen!
A fascinating study This sermon is a fascinating study that shows the gospel message contained in one of the most obscure and small details of the Old Testament law - the requirement to provide cities of refuge. I know I overlooked this for many years until I heard the Old Trailblazer talk about them. But they are a deep spiritual example for us, and this sermon brings out the meaning for Christians.
Great Sermon! I have listened to this sermon three times--always in the early hours before dawn when I have been unable to sleep. It has brought me much comfort. Thank you, Rev. Murray, for sharing your profound insight into Matthew 14:25.
JUST ONCE! C'mon, try it JUST ONCE! If there was a hall of fame for sermons, this one would be nominated because there is a lot of good teaching in it. (For example, why the temptations of Jesus are all external to him and not internal. I'd never even noticed that before.) But the point that is most important is Satan's temptation to try something JUST ONCE. Young people, not-so-young people, and everyone else needs to hear this because that's the way temptation is a lot of times -- try it just once, see what it is like, and be experienced enough to talk about it. What a lie!
Learn about this simple but deep word This is a sermon I wish I'd had as a new Christian because it defines what "propitiation" means; I had both wondered what this was about and heard many suspect definitions. This sermon provides a good in-depth overview of what the term means.
Unique look at difficult text Definitely an interesting look at a difficult text - from the Christian's perspective - this text is frequently used by the prosperity gospel which has a distorted, strange view of what happened to Job. This sermon brings the text into its place as part of the revelation of Christ, and is recommended to people who have heard the prosperity gospel's distortions and want to have a more balanced, scriptural view.
Learning from the other side A unique look at the other thief on the cross who was not saved. There's so much to learn from the other side of the duos in the Bible, like the two crucified thieves, the Prodigal Son and his other brother, Mary and Martha, etc.
Great Sermon! Found this sermon to be an encouraging word from the Lord at a difficult time when 'waiting' in a seemingly impossible situation from whence only the Lord can deliver. Psalm 50:15
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
Quiet confidence in the God of the impossible-HE will be exalted!
This makes Christianity distinct, and is important This message centers on what makes Christianity unique among religious beliefs, and why it is important to both believers and non-believers alike. This truth is so vital to Christianity that it is being suppressed today. The uniqueness of Christ as savior and Lord is the only thing which separates true, Biblical Christianity from other religions.
Must listen - sanctification! This is a must-listen sermon on sanctification. It has so much good stuff it's hard for me to summarize - about what sanctification is and isn't, how to do it, etc. If you want a good sermon on sanctification, the truth about the human body and sin from the Bible, etc, this is an excellent resource. I can't do it justice in a short comment.
