Through the sacrificial substitutionary atoning work of Jesus, God has now raised us up out of our deadness and now as Christ lives, so do we. And this is not something we can do for ourselves friends, it is all of grace – the undeserved goodness, kindness, and favor of God toward his enemies – that's you and me. By nature we are his enemies bound for eternal hell -- but God. Oh friends those two words are grace, and Good Friday is the day "but God" was stamped on the pages of the human story. If you are hearing my voice tonight, God has not closed your story yet. There is still time to find that chapter that begins "but God." But oh friends, you must trust in Christ. You must turn away from your sin and your self-righteousness and flee to Calvary's cross where the holy blood of the Lamb of God still flows freely for all who will believe.
