Sermon Text: Exodus 20:7 God cares about His name! The authority to name can be seen in Genesis (Genesis 1:3-10). In the Bible the personal names that are given are far more than labels/handles by which to call someone (Daniel 1:1-7). God declares his own name because he has all authority. No one can name God! In vs. 7, "take" - lift up; "in vain" - to vanity. (Matthew 1:21, Acts 4:11-12) Do we break the 3rd commandment? God did something about our vain use of his name. Imputation Renaming
