We can see clearly the picture of the sinner and of America in Nabal. 1.Nable was a recipient of God's goodness and longsuffering.
2. His rejection of God's message and His messenger.
3.He was reveling in fleshly pleasures and mirth.
1Samuel 25:1,10,36-38 2 Timothy 3:1-5 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Timothy 4:2 John 3:36 Acts 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10
I want to say to you very kindly, as long as the patience of God is being extended, there is a ray of hope because there is still yet time for individuals to be converted! If you don't know the Lord Jesus Christ at this hour you still have an opportunity to come to know Him,.. and as I've said before, I'll say again,.. the greatest thing that can happen to you, if it ever does, is when the Lord Jesus deals with your heart, opens your understanding, shows you who you are and what you are and the judgement you're under and then He begins to turn your footsteps toward Himself and draws you with the cords of everlasting love." |
