Toward the end of last Lord's Day message, we showed that the English puritans in the 17th century drew upon this passage of Romans 5:12-21, and many others, in order to articulate what reformed (Protestant) Christians have called covenant theology. We only began to introduce this subject last Lord's Day, but we will continue to address it today. However, we will employ another passage of Scripture to do so, which is Galatians 4:21-31. We will first read the passage at this time and say a few words about its context, and then later we will draw upon it to address the biblical teaching regarding covenant theology.
