Dealing With Temptation v. 12:15 >Temptation makes us act like we are dead. >We no longer have to be slaves of sins because Jesus freed us. Romans 6:5-7 >Blessed is the believer who goes through temptation. James >Why is God allowing me to go through temptation? 3. How do we Solve the Problem of Temptation? v. 16-18 >Is the struggle with temptation and self worth it? >Yes, Not because I won't get to heaven if I don't, but because God saved me and I am going to heaven. >It is worth it because my home is in Eternity. >God wants us to deal with these things. >Where should all this lead us? >To the Savior >It should cause us to: anchor ourselves to Him, be greatful to Him and to pray >We need the grace of God as much today and in the past. >Fight the good fight with your heart fixed on Eternity.
