In II Corinthians 4:3, Paul uses the unusual phrase "our gospel," which is used only two other times in the NT. This message seeks to prove that this phrase does not refer to the gospel in general, but to Paul's personal ministry of the gospel. Thus, in verse four Paul is not making the universal claim that Satan is always the one who hides the gospel. Many believers are guilty of doing this themselves. However, Paul was not one of those believers, and that is the point he is making in this chapter. Paul's words then become a challenge to all believers to be able to make the same claim that he makes in this chapter.
