We have dealt with: reconciliation, remission, redemption.
In this message, we will deal with righteousness.
The Scriptures teach that there is an inseparable relationship between redemption and righteousness.
A KEY VERSE......
Rom 3:24 being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
To "justify" is the opposite of "condemn."
Rom 8:33 Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one who justifies;
Rom 8:34 who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
To "condemn" does not make the person guilty.....it only declares his guilt.
To "justify" does not make a man good......it is to declare that he is "just."
JUSTIFICATION IS THAT DIVINE SENTENCE WHEREBY GOD DECLARES THE SINNER TO BE RIGHTEOUS.
THE GROUND UPON WHICH GOD PRONOUNCES THIS SENTENCE........IS THE REDEMPTION THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS.
RECONCILIATION FOR INIQUITY SAVES FROM HELL.....WHILE EVERLASTING RIGHTEOUSNESS FITS THE SINNER FOR HEAVEN.To state it differently: Two things are required for us to be accepted by God........
