Does the Bible have a low view of women? Is it chauvinistic or misogynistic? No, but there are a lot of passage which offend the modern sensibilities of feminist Western culture. The Bible does not have a low view of women, but it does teach that women are subordinate to men. It does teach that the woman, Eve, was deceived, not Adam. It teaches that Adam was created first and that the woman was created for man, not the other way around. It does teach that the husband is the head of the wife in marriage. But, in truth, the Bible elevates the status of women every where it takes root. Without scripture, women are the constant slaves of men. Not so in the Bible.
