The Apostle Paul has already mentioned in this section that we are in a wrestling against an enemy. We are engaged in hand to hand combat in this world. We are either gaining victories each day or we are being defeated. Our communication with Central Command is imperative if we are going to operate each day effectively for the glory of God and the good of others. One of the greatest tactics of the enemy is to destroy communications. If we fail to get our instructions from the Lord and communicate with Him and others, then we will be isolated, alone, and soon will be overtaking. Prayer is a crucial part of the Christian life, and we need constant reminder of one of the most powerful resources we have in Christ. AT Robertson wrote, “Satan trembles when he sees the weakest saint upon his knees.” Today, let’s hear what Paul, the great soldier of the faith, had to say about prayer. He modeled this in the letter (Ephesians 1:15-23; 3:14-21). Paul answers for us the following questions: 1) When should we pray? 2) How should we pray? 3) Why should we pray? 4) How long should we pray? 5) Who do we pray for?
