On a near-daily basis, on Facebook and YouTube, I see a constant barrage of articles and videos mocking the bible doctrine of the Pretribulation Rapture. The funny thing is I used to be one of those people, way back when, who didn't not believe that the bible taught a pretribulation rapture. But that was before I learned how to study the bible the way the author of the majority of the New Testament, Paul, said we needed to study it, by rightly dividing the scripture.
I learned how to do that, and everything changed. You can, too.
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness." 2 Timothy 2:15,16 (KJB)
On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we are looking at the bible doctrine of the Pretribulation Rapture of the Church. I said the Church, I didn't say the elect. Paul tells us to rightly divide the scriptures for a very important reason, and that's because God in the bible can be speaking to more than one group at a time. We identify to whom God is speaking, we apply the verses in their context to that group, and then we compare it to other verses for other groups. Then we divide it accordingly to how we found it. When we do that, a very different picture emerges. |
