1. The scenario: A wealthy man leaves on a journey and entrusts his servants with wealth (vv. 14-15). 2. The actions of the servants (vv. 16-18). 3. The master returns and the time for settling accounts arrives(vv. 19-30). The faithful five and two talent men are rewarded. The unfruitful one talent man is justly punished. Applications: 1. We are to be good stewards of our money. 2. We are to be good stewards/managers of our lives.
