1. We delved into one of the most "difficult texts" of the New Testament about falling away-"loosing salvation" to determine if it actually says what people read into it.
2. But before we got there we labored to expand on the repentance from dead works and faith towards God, baptisms (washings) and the laying of hands, the resurrection and eternal judgment to say-just saying some low level things about Christ is not a faithful testimony of the gospel as long as the cross is not the ultimate testimony.
3. Many go for the low hanging things about Jesus-the very safe things that remove the offense of the cross. So, to say you believe in God means nothing in salvation. Even Demons believe in God and they even tremble. The issue is what is the source of your righteousness?
4. But moving on to maturity-solid food we expounded verse 4 of Hebrews about the "prospect of loosing salvation."
5. This text can never be understood without its OLD Testament roots. One cannot and will not open it-unless they appreciate the EXODUS theme that the Holy Spirit is using.
6. Be patient and listen to this message and your understanding of this text will never be the same.
7. This is a wonderful gospel message and we have to do Pt 2 so that we can tie together the understanding. May the Lord grant you understanding of His WORD.

Great Sermon! Once again, Pastor James reminds us of how important it is to know the Old Testament and how it brings to light the meaning of a very difficult passage in Heb. 6. Without going back to Exodus and the wilderness people, so many misinterpret this part of scripture and try to prove that one can loose their salvation. It is also vitally important for the church now, for we are in a sense still in Egypt going through the wilderness of this world, many thinking they are saved when they are truly not. Please listen to this great sermon.
