On the Day of the LORD, God’s omniscience (perfect knowledge and understanding of all things past, present, and future) will be in plain view as He sweeps up the wicked in His dust pan and casts them into hell. He knows every corner of this earth. He sees up and down every street. He knows what happens under every roof of every home. His knowledge weighs out the thoughts and intents of the heart. He knows every dark crevice and everything hidden in the closets of your heart. He will thoroughly search every square inch of the universal from the heights of heaven to the deepest recesses of your heart. What will He find? Whatever does not please Him will be cast away. It is my prayer tonight that you have a hiding place, a safe place, to protect you from the wrath to come. There will be a universal search for sin in order to punish it and rid it from the presence of His holiness. . Tonight, as we consider God’s complete sweep of the wicked, I want us to think about Jesus, Our Hiding Place, who shields and protects us from the wrath of God. Tonight, we will consider 1) The Universal Destruction of Creation 2) The Utter Darkness of that Day 3) The Unending Delight of our Hiding Place
