New Heart, New Spirit_26 Ezekiel 30:1-26 Seven Descriptions of Coming Judgment of Egypt (PT2) This message to Egypt was the only one of the seven that Ezekiel did not date, most likely because it immediately followed the previous message. In the Bible, the phrase "the day of the LORD" can refer either to any period of judgment, or to a time of great tribulation in the last days of human history. Here it most likely refers to both.First, Ezekiel used the term "the day of the LORD" when he pronounced judgment upon both Egypt and the nations. Second, Ezekiel said that God's judgment would stir up the Egyptians to acknowledge Him as the one true God.How many of us are self-sufficient, placing our trust in the arm of the flesh? If we cut God out of our lives, then we are separated from God.We walk through life depending solely upon our own power and the power of technology and science. The arm of the flesh and the ability of science and technology can help us only so much, and then we are on our own.A spirit of self-sufficiency cannot save us in desperate moments. Only the LORD can. This is the reason our trust must be placed in the LORD and not in our own power.
