The City That God Built in HeavenPT1 John 14:1-6 Jesus calls Heaven "My Father's house." Heaven is special because it is the place where God dwells. A place like that would have to be holy. It would have to be filled with glory. It would have to be a place of peace, blessing, and joy. It would have to be a place of love. All those are characteristics of our Heavenly Father, and anyplace that is called the "Father's house," would have to be a place like Him.Just thinking about a place like that is enough to make one want to go there."Let not your heart be troubled." When the Lord speaks about that Heavenly home, he indicates that it will be a place free from the troubles of this life. We have already talked about this, but the fact is, in Heaven, we will rest from our labors. Jesus made this promise to His men: "That where I am, there ye may be also." We will be with Him, and that will be Heaven for us!
