One of the groups I feel sorriest for are unregenerate churchgoers, that is people who attend church but who don't know the Lord Jesus Christ. Often they attend church out of duty or tradition or perhaps because a spouse or parent drags them. They aren't there because they had any eagerness to enter into the presence of Christ and commune with Him and His people, and most of the time it's just a drudge, a duty that they have to perform.
There may be many things that they associate with the Christian faith, but JOY is probably not one of them. And that is very sad because Jesus tells us that the end of all these things that He has done and said for His people is not just real joy, but perfect joy, that your joy might be Full, complete, unmatched!
