This is our final sermon on the family from our mini-series in the Book of Ephesians. Ephesians 6:1-9 is about submission to God and to the governing authorities He has placed over us. We are superiors (parents) as well as inferiors (children) in our callings at different seasons in our life. There are duties and responsibilities of superiors to inferiors as well as duties and responsibilities of inferiors to superiors. Because of the grace of God in Christ, we are to be sincere in our service to God, and to all God-ordained, legitimate authorities who rule over us. We are to avoid people-pleasing, laziness and rebellion; it is ultimately Christ whom we are serving. Our reputation as Christians is that we do all that we do for the glory of God.
