COUNTENANCE: Christ veiled His glory in a body of human flesh while on earth, except during the Mount of Transfiguration (Luke 9:27:29 and Matthew 17:1–2). This description at the Transfiguration reveals the gloried state of Christ before He ascended back to the Father.
Matthew 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
After the resurrection, the Lord appeared to Saul. The light he looked upon when he spoke with the Lord was an appearance of the Lord (Acts 9:17— "the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee").
Acts 9:3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
When Jesus Christ appeared to Saul in His glory, He shone brighter than the noonday sun (Acts 22:6). The sun is 28,259,540°F and located 92+ million miles away.
The sun is like the bridegroom, He has a tabernacle, and nothing is hidden from His heat (Psalm 19:4–6). The sun will burn the wicked and heal the righteous when it arises (Malachi 4:1–3). The New Jerusalem will not need the sun, for the Lamb will be the city's light (Revelation 21:23).
In eternity, Christ likely replaces the sun and forever will be visible as a brightness in the Heavens for all men to worship and see. Unfortunately, many people worship the ball of fire in the sky associated with Baal worship.
