Pledge- a promise made. God does not break his pledge; we do, but he doesn't. He will take and remind His people of where He brought them from, what he carried them through. As Romans 15:4 tells us, these things were written down for us to see what God has done so we know what He will do for us. This is because He loves all His people. Some promises we don't like such as His promise to chasten those whom He loves. And then those where he promises to carry us through we tend to like.
