“ Great Sermon! ” John 4 is my favorite New Testament passage because I identify with that woman on so many levels and like her, as she ran into the town, oblivious of the shame, was so excited to have been found, one of the lost sheep of Israel that her Savior must needs retrieve. The Matt Chandler story had me holding my breath at the possibility that Jesus meant to redeem and lovingly hold close and restore the passed around, bruised flower that woman and so many like her, including me, had become. There is more in the love of Christ, much more than can be imagined by me and I am grateful for this word.
