One very popular nugget of "wisdom" that comes out of our culture is to "follow your heart." While this ideology may make for a moving movie script, it is actually contrary to Biblical wisdom that comes from God. King Saul is an example of one who followed his own heart, and it ended up losing him the kingdom. David, on the other hand, was described by God as a "man after God's own heart." What made the difference between the two kings? And what does it take for us to become people after God's heart?
