The title of the message today is Celebrate and Anticipate. Much like we saw Paul doing last week in Titus 2:11-14, here the apostle John looks back at what God has done through Christ, looks forward to what He will do in the future, and then applies it to how we should live today. So we will follow that same pattern today with these three points and tie it in with the Lord’s Supper. 1) A Celebration of Love – We have been made children of God! What did God do to make us children of God? a) God decided before the foundation of the world to adopt us b) sent His Son to die on the cross in our place c) gave us the new birth enabling us to believe in Christ d) Makes us His child with full privileges 2) An Anticipation of Hope – We will see Jesus and be like Him! 3) A Call to Purity – Let us purify ourselves as He is pure
