To summarize, Paul seems to have had it made at one time in his life. He had a good upbringing that saw him become a pharisee and did his best to obey the law, so he had a good religious head on his shoulders. Somewhere along the way he learned tent making as a skill so he could support himself. His heritage was one that not only placed him in the line of Abraham but from the very same tribe that produced the first human king of Israel, he may have even been named after Saul. But it turned out that it wasn't enough, it all fell short, and he needed more. All those things were interesting facts about his life but when the tombstone is carved what goes on there says who you are, and Paul didn't want any of those things in fact he called them all dung.
