Just about every home that has small children has a growth chart somewhere in the house. It might be on a door jam someplace in the house. Perhaps once a year, on a birthday, the child's height is marked and noted. If there had been a loss of height, it would be a serious concern. What is true physically, is also true spiritually. There ought to be spiritual growth taking place in our lives as followers of Jesus as well. Why is it, however, that some people don't grow in Christ? In fact, they "grow backwards." In this passage we will look together at some of the marks of immaturity and some marks of maturity that are listed. That is followed by a call to Press on to Maturity and the means by which we grow in Christ.
