While doing a morning devotional in the book of Psalms last week, I came across a sweet, little section from Psalms 44-48 that clearly show the Jews in the time of Jacob's trouble, the Marriage of the Lamb, the awesome and terrible Day of the Lord, and the time in which King Jesus will rule the Earth from Jerusalem. And through it all was a repeating constant – Selah!
"For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth. He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet. He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah." Psalms 47:2-4 (KJB)
On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we are spending some times in the book of Psalms which is filled with, not just songs, but with amazing and in-depth end times bible prophecy, dotted and sprinkled round about with one of our favorite bible words, Selah. Selah, you will recall, a word so hated by the corrupt editors of the NIV 'bible' that they removed all 75 instances of it back in 2011, so you will have lots of problems trying to make the end times connections. But we have none of those issues here with our time-tested and God honored 'word of the king' King James Bibles. Psalms 44-48 show us a beautiful and terrible picture of the coming events in the time of Jacob's trouble, as well as the Marriage of the Lamb.
