God's love for His people is infinitely powerful to save. But sometimes, God doesn't rescue us from danger or evil like we expect Him to. Apparently, God doesn't take advice from His people about when, where or how to save us from trouble!
Our dear friends have been under Satanic attack by vicious and malignant grandparents, who have told horrible lies to their children, to convince them that their mother and their daddy are evil. We wonder why God doesn't rescue His people, and in the way we imagine He ought to.
The same thing happened to Jairus, the man who begged Jesus to heal his little girl. But as Jesus was on the way, bad news came: don't bother the Lord anymore, your daughter is dead!
Jairus had no idea that Christ could raise his little girl from the dead. He thought that God had missed the only chance to rescue her.
But Jesus urged him: fear not, only believe!
When Jesus raised the little girl from the dead, her parents were astonished! They had limited God's power to the times and methods they conceived, not considering His mighty power to save!
When our Lord Jesus refused to rescue Israel by political means and miraculous power, His people thought that God's options for salvation were exhausted - the chance missed. "But we had hoped it would have been He who would redeem Israel," the disciples lamented.
But just as they thought the last chance was past, Jesus was dying to redeem us at Calvary!
Jesus promised us, not a hair of our head will perish!
