We are living in a culture which is increasingly growing in opposition to the One True God, His Word, and His People. The Truth is being traded for a lie. Love is being traded for lust. Life is being redefined through the moral revolution of the culture. The church stands in need of revival. America is drifting away from the principles of its founding. We are living in the clashing of cultures. The LORD and His ways are becoming more unpopular and the populace wants to silence the truth in a similar way as the crowds yelled, “Crucify Him, Crucify Him.” As a young person, there are influences all around you vying for your listening ear. Television, pop music, bill boards, social media, and friends at school will provide many opinions on how life should be lived. It is my prayer that as you continue your education that you listen to the voice of God and obey His Word.
This morning, I want us to visit with 4 young men who found themselves in the midst of compromise and confusion. The nation of Israel in which they lived had compromised the truth in their hearts and lifestyles. As a result, another nation had overtaken them. These young people had been educated in the Scriptures and were taken into a foreign land to be trained in a secular education system. Because of their foundation, they succeeded in living uncompromised lives and were considered ten times better. They shined bright as they reflected the glory of God in the culture. |
