In the eleventh chapter of Revelation the two witnesses are introduced and will give testimony for the Lord for 1260 days after which they are kill by the Evil One and then lay dead for three and a half days before being resurrected from the dead. These two martyrs are brought back to life and ascend up to God in a cloud out of the sight of those who were glad to see them killed. Now do these same people stand in awe and give God the glory for the rapture of these two witnesses. This interlude takes place before the seventh trumpet sounds and the third woe is heard. These events mark the beginning of the last three and one half year period and an unprecedented time of suffering during the Great Tribulation Period.
