For our first-hour service, Pastor Simpson, picked up from where we left off on the topic of Integrity. Citing Job, Pastor Simpson pointed out that Job's difficulties drew him closer to the Savior and to God; contrast that against those who are driven away from God or conclude that there can be no God because of their trials. The true believer will be humbly drawn to kneel before his Maker proclaiming His sovereignty and trust in whatever answer is returned. I don't mean to write in such haughtiness or high-brow this morning, but difficulties prove the heart and sincerity of ones integrity and faith in God's providence over your life. I think all us can find strength from this morning's first-hour service from Proverbs 19:1-3 on the character of integrity and quite helpful in our daily walk in faith.
