Response to Carl... Carl,
It is quite clear to me, that you have not read Luke 2, where Joseph and Mary traveled to Bethlehem because, Rome declared that the "Whole World Be Taxed" I am paraphrasing there, but, if you want to take that term "world " , then we must assume that you are paying taxes every year to Rome?? As you can see, "world" here is being used to describe the Roman Empire, although large, DID NOT encompass the entire "world". Also, if you desire to give the term "world" a singular meaning, perhaps you can explain the text found in John 17:9??? I think that you have been offended by Randy's message, because it gives GOD the glory, and not man, or his puny efforts. Your debate should be with the Living GOD!!! Your doubts lay with HIM, and not the message!!! You close your comments with "glory be to god"..... I wonder, which "god" do you give glory to?? The "god" who tries to save all, but failed, or the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, who is the author and finisher of ALL things, including salvation??? What shall it be Carl....."freewill"....or FREE GRACE IN CHRIST ALONE?????

Thank you That was an interesting sermon.
The preacher did a great job in explaining how those in the smaller circle ended up there.
If I understood correctly, we believe because we are saved and we are saved by the blood of the Lamb
By that reasoning, those in the bigger circle do not believe because they are unsaved. My question is this, why are they unsaved? It's obviously not because they do not believe because
we are not saved because we believe,
we are saved only by the precious blood of Christ.

Hmm... "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world" (1 John 2:2, KJV). I take it that the "he" is Jesus and "our" is the third person plural possessive pronoun when broken into its components means the Apostle John (the writer of the letter) and any readers and hearers of the letter in John's present all the way down through history to our present which would include you and me. I also take it that "the world" is the same "world" that the Apostle John quotes our Lord Jesus as saying "I have manifested Your name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world" (John 17:6). The same "world" that believers are no longer of (John 17:16) and that hates believers because Jesus chose them "out of the world" (John 15:18-19). I suggest that you do a topical study on the word "kosmos." Hopefully with God's grace it will help undo that strange logic that clouds what is so plainly clear that even a child could (and should) understand because the Word of God means what it says. Man does not decide how God's Word is used to fit his doctrines.
May God be forever glorified.
