In this expository sermon Dr. Felker shares two stories from the life of Jesus that show his examination and judgment of Israel. They lacked spiritual fruit and they misused the holy temple. We also can display outward religious works and yet be spiritually dead and fruitless. The assembly of God's people is God's temple today and we can misuse our worship gathering as well and fail to fulfill our purpose. Since God judged Israel, we can face God's judgment as well if we fail to examine our lives and ministries and purge out what is not pleasing to God. Dr. Felker shares an interpretation of "a den of thieves" in light of the historical context of Jeremiah 7:11.
