Something Has a Hold on Me 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 The war is not waged against flesh and blood, against physical and material beings, but against spiritual forces. Spiritual forces lie behind man's evil and lustful behavior, unbelief and arguments against God. These spiritual forces attack and prey upon the imaginations and thoughts of men. They inject selfish and devilish ideas against God and against other men. And from the energy of these ideas come the evil acts of men. The Devil Wants Your Mind but God also wants your mind. God Communicates Through Your Mind and God Changes You Through Your Mind How does God renew you? In the spirit of your mind. You can change the way you live by changing the way you think. God Controls You through Your Mind. We have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing that we can do is play on the one thing we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you."We are in charge of our attitudes. Well, who's in charge of you? I hope the Holy Spirit is, because, friend, God communicates through the mind. God changes us by changing the mind. God controls us by controlling the mind. God wants your mind. The devil wants your mind. And so, there is a battle for your mind. Paul had just shared how he struggled and fought to live for Christ every day—struggled and fought to conquer every imagination and thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God.
