For many, this COVID-19 pandemic is the 'perfect storm' for they are dealing with the loss of their job, sickness of a loved one, forced isolation from family and friends, confinement at home which puts pressure on their marriage, plus homeschooling children and change of working from home. Add to all of this is the fear and uncertainty of the future! Many of us are feeling as if we are living on the brink of death. You are not alone for Paul lived on the brink. He had within him the 'sentence of death'. But why does God allow His children to feel so overwhelmed with the pressures and stresses of life that they live on the brink? It so we put our confidence in the right person, the one who can raise the dead and deliver us from despair. But how can Christians living not he brink find renewed confidence in God? First our confidence grows as we review past experiences of God's deliverance and help. God has a proven track record. The God who delivered us in the past, who is delivering us in the present, will deliver us in the future. Trust Him! And our confidence in God grows as others pray for us! We see and hear their confidence in God which in turn increases our own confidence. Plus as they pray and God's answers, our confidence grows too. Praying for others is a way we can be 'encouraged encouragers."
