Once again it is our great privilege as the people of God to come to the Lord's Supper. This is our Lord's designated time to remember His death, and to reflect upon its great significance in our lives. It also anticipates the future marriage supper of the Lamb when the entire company of the redeemed will feast together in the presence of our Savior. I am going to continue our new sermon series on The Servant of the Lord. We are working from the “Servant Songs” that are found in the book of Isaiah. In the sermon today I want to build on the previous sermons, now considering the Servant and His redemption. This Servant has a unique and divinely appointed mission to perform and He advances from mission impossible to mission accomplished. But the thrust of this sermon will be upon mission tactics, or the method by which the Servant will be divinely enabled to perform His task. May the Lord grant us even greater insight into our Savior, and may we come to the Lord's Supper in a profitable and edifying manner.
