Playing it safe in the Christian life is a very dangerous thing. True faith involves risking it all on Jesus. It is not hedging some, it is surrendering all. It did not work out well for the man who buried his one talent in the ground (Matthew 25:14-30). Nor will our modern claims of being "too busy" be an excuse. The seed that fell among thorny ground represents those who are consumed by the cares and anxieties of this life and the enticement of money (Luke 8:14). Their excuses will be hollow. Take risks in the service of God!
