Here’s the good news, God can give you the power to adjust! That’s part of what He means when He says He has overcome the world. He’s bigger than the world, He’s better than the world.
Often the only thing we can change in bad circumstances is us, the one thing we don’t want to change. The main thing God really wants to change. What is the productive function of complaining? We have a lot of people running around saying “life stinks”.
We’ve all probably been there at some point. But life doesn’t stink. Life is awesome. But life is hard. We have to accept that.
All of this should bring us to the place where we understand that this world is not our home. We really don’t fit in here as believers.
Hebrews 11:13-16 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. KJV
