Paul is making his way to Rome, as a Roman prisoner, on his final leg there. vs. 14 Paul's allowed to visit for a week with other believers which indicates Paul had built a good relationship with his Roman guards to allow him this time off by himself. Word gets out that Paul is staying outside Rome & he's visited by many believers looking to minister to him. This was a bit of a risk for anyone who's visiting him because Paul is a prisoner of Rome. Even as Paul's life is ending, he looks for opportunities to serve others and for Gospel opportunities. Before he appears before Caesar, Paul gets to spend 2 full years in rented quarters under house arrest teaching & preaching to those who will visit him. Paul's final days & final account in Acts teaches us 3 main lessions. #1 - Be an Encouragement. #2 - The Gospel is Worth It! Paul went through so much but never regretted anything he went through, even seeking out new opportunities regardless of the consequences. #3 - Be Relentless! Be focused and driven on spreading Christ. Our vocation is merely a God-given means to an end to glorify Him.
