Paul was emphatic that the Corinthian believers not only knew the truth but shared in all of Christ's riches that he was talking about. However, the day to day living (example) of the Corinthian believers was far from Paul's bold claims. We learn here that merely knowing the truth about what is right and wrong does not give us the power to do the right and shun the wrong. Every believer knows how intense the conflict with sin can be and thus can identify with this struggle to do what he knows is right. Why were the Corinthians not manifesting God's wisdom and power in their lives? What is the reason we often fail in our own lives? I will attempt to address this issue in my sermon today.
