The Battle within:Civil War Micah 7:4-7;1 Cor. 1:10 Imagine a world where goodness seems to have vanished, where trust is shattered, and where darkness looms over every corner. Micah, the prophet, paints a vivid picture of such a time in his lamentation over the state of society. Yet, amidst this desolation, there shines a ray of hope—a hope rooted in the character of God. Today, we will explore Micah's words and discover the enduring hope we can find in God's faithfulness. Continuous sin in an individual's life brings corruption and ruin. Sin in society does the same. Furthermore, when the sins of society are compounded—when they multiply in number and spread from within like a raging epidemic—the nation becomes thoroughly contaminated. Once corruption is allowed to grow freely, the nation will eventually fall; its civilization will perish. This is the teaching of God's Word. And this truth has been proven throughout history by the fall of many civilizations. Ancient Israel was an example of such ruin. Her people had sinned and rebelled against God. They persistently ignored God's Word and repeatedly rejected His warnings and discipline.
