Because we have given the state the place of God – and have declared the state to be God by virtue of how we think and conduct our lives – the Lord has given us over to that god. He is allowing us to get our bellies full of the state. He will show us what a taskmaster the state is.
Remember the Jews after they were delivered from Egypt? In Ex. 16 they complained about how their bellies were not full like back in Egypt. They were slaves back in Egypt – but no problem with that as long as their bellies were full.

“ Great Sermon! ” The mass hysteria and delusion associated with COVID19 are, it would seem, a more serious judgment than an actual plague. This is a refreshingly honest sermon after hearing so many that support the government/media narrative. However, as this is an Easter sermon, it is worth noting that God judges nations and churches for false worship, as well as for other sins. Easter keeping is a clear violation of the scriptural regulative principle of worship, and is a sin to be repented of, too.

“ One more thing.... ” God is sovereign over every area so can use this virus and it’s effects on our economy, false churches, sports, entertainment from Hellywood, etc to judge us.

“ Great Sermon! ” Really eye-opening statistics Bro Matt mentions in this sermon. Death by plagues isn’t only way God judges nations. It may be we are being judged not only here in America, but all over the world, by this virus bringing down down all the economies of the world.
