Aim: To re-awaken, under God, our spiritual senses, so that we may clearly receive the Lord's messages.
Exegesis: Our spiritual eyes must see the light of the world. Christ's truth exposes (v. 21) and cleanses (v. 22) our hearts. Our spiritual ears must hear the Savior of the world. God opens (v. 23), monitors (v. 24a), blesses (v. 24b), and judges (through super-abundance [v.25a] or through absolute privation [v. 25b]) our spiritual ears.
Key verse: v. 24 ''Then [Jesus] said to them, 'Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given.'''
