"Paul says in Galatians 1:13 - 'you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it.' So what happened? What made the difference? 1 Timothy 1:14 - 'the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.' Jesus rescued Paul from his spiritually blind hatred, and now as the foremost Apostle in the early church, he was trying to build everything he once sought to destroy. Friends here's my point: your past sins do not determine your future service to God. Everyone here has regrets, yes? We all have things in our past we'd like to have expunged from the record of our lives, but friends whatever it is, because of the overflowing mercy and grace of Jesus, God can and will use you in his kingdom. Don't let Satan tell you that your past is too stained for you to be of any use to God. He's lying to you. The 17th century pastor Richard Sibbes says, 'There is more mercy in Christ than sin in us.'"
