Pastor Henry continues to sharpen our definition of what worldliness is and is not. Picking up where he left off in Romans 12:2 he shows that worldliness is not connected to creation, but to a heart attitude that is in rebellion toward the Creator Himself. When a Christian is trying to figure out what is worldly he needs to understand that it begins with a belief system that is contrary to the Lordship of Christ. Secondly, it is an attitude is driven by one of two extremes: legalism or licentiousness. Finally, these worldliness manifests itself in external actions, which, in themselves, may or may not be wrong. What, then, is the answer? It is going back to the gospel of grace which makes all things new in Christ. It is remembering that God has given us good things to delight in as gifts from our Father. It is living a life before a world trapped in sin that displays joy and pleasure as God intended. It is a life free from the condemnation of God because of the Cross of Jesus Christ
