If you are a Christian, if you are truly in Christ, God has put His stamp of approval on you. We have His Seal, His Name, His official mark placed on us by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13). We will make our heavenly destination because God is the ultimate postman, He always delivers the goods. Now God can look on us with delight because He has put away our sin, and because He sees His Son in us. When we receive His name we are to be conscious that we are receiving Himself. The name above all names we are named with, Jesus. He blessed us and keeps us and makes His face shine upon us giving us grace and so therefore He can look upon us and smile, and this brings us peace. In Christ we have safety satisfaction and rest, we are significant, sufficient, and secure…the desire of our soul is to thy name (Isaiah 26:8). As we leave here today are we conscious that we are putting on the name of the Lord and are we conscious to leave that blessing on our lips, our labor, and our lives? |
